A tiny place about which much has been written and all of it intriguing - ranging from alarmed descriptions of the kitsch nautical decor, surreal recordings of seagulls and ocean waves to the highest praise for the genuinely French cooking. Fish and seafood are the thing, with a few offerings for unrepentant carnivores. The bouillabaisse is reckoned a triumph by those who know, as is the plateau de fruits de mer. Lots of couples, a few government types as it's within the Division Bell. Le patron mange ici. Go and cast yourself adrift in oceans of seafood. What's cooking? For starters we particularly enjoyed the fresh mussels with garlic, tomato and cream sauce and the grilled prawns with homemade garlic butter followed by the grilled fillet of tuna and the seabass with a cream, pernod and wild mushroom sauce. For dessert the pancakes are a must - believe me!!
