Be a part of our strong local trade, and enjoy the music and traditional dancing performed by the Morris men. Its large bar provides a selection of traditional ales, fine wines and good food. Diners can choose to eat from the interesting and varied menu whilst enjoying the large open fireplace set in the heart of our bar area. Thaxted itself is a charming Tudor village, with some of its buildings dating back to the 14th century, including the Guildhall and the church (180 foot spire). The well preserved Tower Windmill is also worth visiting as it houses a museum of rural life. Stansted Airport is only 15 minute drive away. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.
