Barretts Restaurant offers an excellent a la carte menu, whilst the River View Bar and terrace offers a more traditional bar menu with fantastic views over the river and valley. The 42 well appointed bedrooms offer comfort, style and range from large four-poster rooms to single rooms in the old stable block. There are four conference rooms for up to 75 guests or delegates, and the Royal holds a wedding licence. The Royal is a majestic, beautiful hotel dating back to 1837. A very friendly and warm welcome awaits you. Refurbishment work completed in December 2006 has given the building a new lease of life. The hotel is now access-friendly into the restaurant and bar. Being a grade ll listed building has created a few problems extending this to the bedrooms, but the hotel is working on it. The changes are fantastic, though in character. Come and enjoy the new ‘Riverview Bar’, and, as the name suggests, you can enjoy the magnificent views across the Wye Valley and river below.
